Hi, tonights Skinny Wolves Club has been cancelled, due to a fuck up with EX MODELS flights, leaving them stranded in London. Really sorry about this!

EX MODELS from NYC have just confirmed a special one off Dublin show. At the moment Ex Models spread their tights across such wonderful bands as Pterodactyl, Oneida, Seconds, Marnie Stern, Some Girls and Awesome Colour. They have released records on Les Savy Fav's French Kiss Records, Mike Simonetti's Troubleman Unlimited label, The Locusts 31g label, and have been asked to tour with Tortoise and Yeah Yeah Yeahs. In their early days, people called them "Devo on crack!", or, "Talking Heads on speed!" but now their sound is more primal and what Thurston Moore calls "a lovely chalice of prog-raunch agression" or in their own words... "Fundustrial"

We are delighted to announce that the first Skinny Wolves gig of 2008 will be for one of our favourite bands, the fantastic EFFI BRIEST! More info coming real soon...

EFFI BRIEST are seven enchanting, stylish and talented ladies that reside mostly in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. They mix African, psych, krautrock, and goth into something completely new and their own. There have been comparisons to early Siousxie, but it’s primitive animism is as evocative of late period Slits. With its dubby drum & bass, skinny reggae guitar, backwards acoustic counterpoint, accordion, syncopating percussion, chanting vocals, their debut 7" on Loog seems a fair indication of where the band is headed.

Unfortunately, we have just had to postpone an Irish tour for Jenny Hoyston, from its original dates in May, to a later date in October, due to work commitments.

Jenny Hoyston is the lead vocalist of the no wave band Erase Errata. She has also performed worldwide under her solo moniker Paradise Island, and has performed on records with William Elliott Whitmore, Hawnay Troof, and King Cobra.

Isle of released on Sept 11, 2007 on Southern Records is her first record released under her name. Recorded at three different locations (Portland, Detroit and San Francisco), she enlists the help of friends Christina Files ( Shannon Wright, Mary Timony, Swirlies) and Collin Dupuis.

Next Friday we bring you the hyperactive Synth Punk stylings of the FIST FITE from Portland, Oregon. After seeing FIST FITE play live in the states, the KLAXONS have decided to bring them along on their sold out UK tour in December ( along side Simian Mobile Disco, Metronomy + Crystal Castles ). They have been described as "a mix of the Gossip and the Lost Sounds" or how about "Siouxsie and the Banshees meets DEVO meets Les George Leningrad"? More info here »»

We are happy to announce the much anticipated return of one of Kill Rock Stars finest bands to Ireland. NUMBERS blew the roof off the Skinny Wolves Club last March with their pulsating synths, epic shreks and mind driving krautrock sounds, and are back, this time to play in Whelans.

We also have more special treats in the form of Party Weirdo and Your Only Massive, both of whom have members flying in from their homes in Berlin especially for the show.

Tickets on sale now from the WAV Box Office beside Whelans, priced 14euro, and will also be available on the door on the night.

Two of Irelands finest bands, The Dudley Corporation and Crayonsmith have both been confirmed as special guests for the Meneguar gig on Friday 28th September in Dublin.
Check out some songs from the upcoming Meneguar album 'Strangers in Our House', set to be released on Troubleman Unlimited in the USA and Release The Bats in Europe, here + here.
The Dudley Corporation are set to relase their new album ' Year of the Husband' on Absolutely Kosher records in the next few months, with artwork from the great Rick Froberg, ex of Hot Snakes/Drive Like Jehu from. Hear mp3s from the record here.
At the moment Crayonsmith are recording their second album and first for Out on a Limb Records, here a demo from the record here, which is set for release early in 2008.
